The Adventures of EclectiKat

At Jitters Coffee Shop this morning…

I had just finished paying for my iced coffee, and the woman who had nearly hit me with her car on the way in was cashing out just behind me.  As I unwrapped the paper from my straw, I was eavesdropping on the exchange of usual pleasantries between the cashier (the only guy who works in this whole place, since apparently you get better tips if you’re working the alliterative appendage…but I digress) and this woman.

At this point, and just before she attempted to slam the door in my face, I came to the conclusion that I have a deep-seated hatred for people who reply to “And how are you doing today?” with “Just ducky.”

I nearly slammed my plastic straw through her jugular. Just to punish her for being her.
